Part of the CG&A team since 1999, Midge specializes in nonprofit, government and business communication campaigns. As a vice president, she works with the Chicago Housing Authority, the Academy for Urban School Leadership and the Chicago Transit Authority on public relations initiatives as well as marketing and advertising strategies. Her work with the Illinois Birth to Five Political Action Committee, to increase funding for statewide early childhood programs, received a Silver Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC) in 2002. Midge’s work on the Southwest Home Equity Assurance Program was also recognized in 2003 by the Public Relations Society of America, and earned a Silver Trumpet in 2003 and a Golden Trumpet in 2004 from the PCC.
Her expertise in the nonprofit sector stems from her past work and volunteer experience. Midge worked in external affairs for a national nonprofit organization — the Local Initiatives Support Corporation — where she developed national public information and communications campaigns and publications. She has also volunteered for several organizations, including the National Runaway Switchboard, where she served as Chairman of the 1995 Benefit Committee.
Midge has a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Marquette University with a minor in French. She also has a French Language Certificate from the University of Paris-Sorbonne. |
