As senior project director for CG&A, Leah helps design and execute media, legislative and grassroots communications strategies for issue-based campaigns. In 2007, she led the CG&A team working with U.S. Cellular on a successful 14-state regulatory campaign. Currently, she is working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Illinois Network of Charter Schools to help support and advance their reform efforts in Illinois’ public schools.
Prior to joining CG&A, Leah developed and implemented media strategy for Adelstein Liston and managed budgets totaling more than $15 million for clients including Congresswoman Melissa Bean, Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias and the American Cancer Society. She served as finance director for Giannoulias in his successful upset primary campaign and trained with EMILY’s List to raise funds for U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI). She started her communications career at Jasculca/Terman and Associates, where she helped develop and implement communications and event strategies for clients including the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the AFL-CIO and U.S. Senator Barack Obama.
Leah graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, and taught high school for two years in New Orleans, Louisiana as a corps member with Teach For America.
