Gretchen Wieland

Gretchen provides strategic communications and public relations counsel to CG&A clients by utilizing her expertise in writing, research and media campaigns. Her current focus includes media outreach for Donate Life Illinois and U.S. Cellular and social media efforts for Rush University Medical Center.
Prior to joining CG&A, Gretchen served in marketing and communications roles for several nonprofits. Most recently, she was a regional communications director for Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection, where she supported a federal legislative campaign. Her experience also includes public relations support for disaster relief efforts in the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina.
Gretchen graduated from the University of Kansas with Bachelor degrees in journalism and political science and received a certificate in integrated marketing from the University of Chicago. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Safer Pest Control Project. In her spare time, Gretchen enjoys baking desserts and training for her first triathlon.
