Ambar is a communications strategist with deep experience in media relations, event coordination and communications planning around public policy issues. Her clients at CG&A include National Skills Coalition, Chicago Dental Society and VOA Associates.
During her seven-year tenure at Valerie Denney Communications, she played a leading role in developing and implementing communications campaigns for clients including Heartland Alliance, LISC/Chicago, HBO Network and The Chicago Community Trust.
Ambar graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism specializing in Latino/Latina Studies and Speech Communication. She leads Women Employed’s Advocacy Council and serves on the Board of Directors. Ambar is also a graduate of UNO’s Metropolitan Leadership Institute, a civic seminar for Latino professionals. Ambar is fluent in Spanish and hopes to one day master Italian.
