Ambar joins CG&A with deep experience in media relations, event coordination and communications planning around public policy issues.
During her seven-year tenure at Valerie Denney Communications, she played a leading role in developing and implementing media campaigns for clients including Social IMPACT Research Center, National Skills Coalition, Chicago Dental Society and the HBO Network. Ambar has also coordinated national conferences for LISC/Chicago and oversaw marketing of the Chicago Matters public interest multimedia series, sponsored by the Chicago Community Trust.
Ambar graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism specializing in Latino/Latina Studies and Speech Communication. She leads Women Employed’s Advocacy Council and sits on the Board of Directors. Ambar is also a graduate of UNO’s Metropolitan Leadership Institute, a civic seminar for Latino professionals. Ambar is fluent in Spanish and hopes to one day master Italian.
